OVIVO® Screw Compactor

Available in 5 standard sizes the Ovivo® Screw Compactor loading capacity ranges between 0.5 and 9.5 (M?/Hr) and launder flows up to 8.0l/s. It can receive flows from dry or water powered launders and incorporates a 9mm thick drainage trough for ruggedness and 6mm tapered holes for improved drainage.

The Ovivo® screw compactor incorporates the originalJones+Attwood™ features that have a proven record ofreliability and robustness. Our new design now receives ?ows from water powered launders and incorporates a 9mm thick drainage trough for ruggedness and 6mm TAPERED holes for improved drainage– built with lowering TOTEX in mind.

To meet current market requirements for a simple, robust method of dewatering screenings Ovivo have developed their original design of screw compactor which was first launched in 1986. The new machine retains the original 9mm thick body and trough but now includes additional drilled taper holes in the trough which allows the compactor to accept screenings directly from a water powered launder system. The compactor retains the simplicity and robustness of the original design with a single screw, bearing and drive unit which will ensure a long life with minimal maintenance. 

The Ovivo Screw Compactor is suitable for screening from inlet or sludge screens and is available in a range of sizes from 150mm to 500mm diameter The largest machine can process up to 9.5m³/hour of screenings
