Fish Handling Screen

Ovivo's fish handling band screens use the natural tendency of fish to seek shelter when caught in a stabilized flow by using buckets integrated with a revolving screen that safely capture the fish. As the screen rotates, elevating the fish to deck level, a series of gentle sprays guide the fish into a holding trough and then back to their natural habitat via a return trough. This method of recovery and return increases fish survivability on new or existing intakes and meets EPA requirements.
Brackett Green® S.I.M.P.L.E.® Fish Handling Screen
S.I.M.P.L.E.® fish screens are supplied as dual flow, dual flow conversion and thru-flow models. The unique design provides for the natural tendency of juvenile fish to seek shelter in the integrated buckets when caught in the flow of an intake. The screen rotates the fish to deck level where a series of gentle sprays channels the fish into a trough, then back to their source water. The Brackett Green® S.I.M.P.L.E® Fish Handling Screens is in compliance with EPA regulation 316b.
